My Expectations for Game Design

Thus far, I am not sure what I will be expecting this semester in Game Design.  Since we are the first class to work with the Globaloria program, there is no way for me to really know what to expect.  I do like that the class size is small and that we are creating games on and offline.  I feel like this class will sharpen my computer skills as well as inspire me to be more creative.  That being said, I look forward to the rest of this semester.

Brainstorming about my website topic

I have been asked to create a 25 page website devoted to one specific subject. Since I am investing so much time to one thing, I believe it is necessary for me to select a topic that interests me. Thus far, I am considering two options; sushi and dinner parties. First of all, sushi is my favorite food, so I thought that I could enjoy the project by learning and writing about something that I love. The website would include content examining the various types of sushi, the history of sushi, how to make sushi, and profiles of sushi restaurants. The topic is so broad that filling up 25 pages would not be challenging or monotonous. Also, being considered is the topic of dinner parties. I enjoy throwing dinner parties and entertaining guests, so I felt that creating a "how to" website would be fun. This website would include content relating to various dinner party themes, recipes, place settings, decorations, cocktail suggestions and invitations. I thought this would be fun because at least once a week it would give me an excuse to invite friends over to test out different suggestions and post the feedback on the site. I feel that both topics would work well with the assignment, now I just need to make a decision. I welcome suggestions from anyone, and I encourage anyone to responses to this post. If anything a second opinion would prove helpful in making my decision, but time is running out...
